Privacy Policy for MyClipboard
Last updated: February 26, 2026
Protecting your privacy is our top priority. This Privacy Policy explains how the MyClipboard app ("the Application") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our service on Android.
1. Use of the AccessibilityService API (Important)
The Application uses Android's AccessibilityService (Accessibility Service) in a strict and limited way. This service is at the core of how MyClipboard works.
- Why do we use it? We use this service exclusively to detect events related to copying text on your device (when you tap "Copy" in any application).
- What we do: When a copy action is detected, the service displays MyClipboard's floating interface and saves the copied text to your local history.
- What we DO NOT do: The accessibility service is not used to read your screens without your knowledge, does not record your passwords in a targeted way, and does not transmit any read data to remote servers. Absolutely all captured data stays on your device.
2. Collection and Storage of Local Data
Your texts belong to you. All of your clipboard history, tags and preferences are stored locally on your phone's internal memory using a secure database. MyClipboard has no remote server to store your copying history. Therefore, we have no access to your clips.
3. Third-Party Services and Technical Data
Although your history is 100% offline, the Application integrates services provided by Google that may collect certain technical data to function:
- Google AdMob (Ads): For the free version, we use AdMob to display ads. This service may use advertising identifiers and collect technical information (device model, Android version, IP address) to show relevant ads and measure their performance. For more information, see Google's privacy rules.
- Google Play Billing (In-App Purchases): If you choose to upgrade to the Premium version, the transaction is fully handled and secured by Google Play. MyClipboard never has access to your banking details or credit card information.
4. Data Sharing
We never sell, exchange or rent any of your personal data to third parties. The only shared data is anonymized technical data handled by the Google SDKs mentioned above (AdMob, Billing).
5. Your Rights and Control (GDPR)
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have full control over your data:
- Right of access and deletion: Since all data is local, you can delete your entire history directly from the app settings, or by simply uninstalling MyClipboard from your device.
- Disabling the service: You can revoke the accessibility service permission at any time from the system settings of your Android phone.
6. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this privacy policy at any time to reflect Application updates or Google Play legal requirements. We encourage you to review this page regularly.
